Palliative medicine
The Magdeburg/Saxony-Anhalt Tumor Center e.V. is hosting a continuing education seminar on “Palliative Care at the Intersection of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine” on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in the Central Lecture Hall, Building 22, at Magdeburg University Medical Center.
This continuing education session focuses on the interplay between palliative care, emergency medicine, and critical care medicine. Colleagues in these specialties often face similar medical, ethical, and communication challenges. The event offers an opportunity to examine common points of intersection and shed light on different perspectives regarding current developments and practical solutions. In addition, the management of malignant wounds will be addressed, as this consistently presents particular challenges in palliative care practice. Experienced speakers will provide expert insights and share their practical experiences. The continuing education program thus offers a forum for interesting presentations, discussions, and interdisciplinary exchange.
Further information about the program is available in the flyer. Registration is open until September 30, 2026: tumorzentrum@med.ovgu.de, by fax at 0391 67 15931, or via the online form.
