Modern Ultrasound Diagnostics in the Head and Neck Region
The University Clinic for Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Magdeburg University Medical Center invites ENT physicians and oral and maxillofacial surgeons to an advanced ultrasound course on November 27 and 28, 2026.
The two-day continuing education program focuses on modern ultrasound diagnostics in the head and neck region. In addition to the latest diagnostic findings on diseases and pathologies of the upper aerodigestive tract, the thyroid and parathyroid glands, and the neck vessels, the course places special emphasis on practical application.
Participants can expect expert lectures from various medical disciplines at Magdeburg University Medical Center (UMMD) as well as extensive hands-on exercises. Topics such as contrast-enhanced sonography, pediatric head and neck sonography, and primary tumor diagnostics round out the program.
The course is conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV), and participants will receive a certificate upon completion. Fifteen continuing education credits are awarded for participation.
